Tradesmen Insurance
Trade insurance is a must for Australian tradesmen. No matter how much experience you have or how careful you are, there is always a risk that something could go wrong.
That’s why you need insurance.
Public Liability Insurance
Public Liability Insurance is a must for most tradies. Not only is it great for protecting yourself financially, but it is mandatory for many trades and on many worksites.
Public liability is designed to protect you in the event that your actions result in damage to someone’s property or to themselves personally.
Tool Insurance
Tool insurance covers your tools against loss or damage. We all know that we can’t work without our tools, so protecting them is vital.
Income Protection Insurance
You never know when you could be injured or fall seriously ill, leaving you unable to work. If you can’t work, the money stops coming in, but you still have to pay the mortgage and feed your family
Income protection can protect you by paying you a monthly amount until you can return to work.
On many worksites it is mandatory to have income protection insurance.
Trades Insurance
There are many types on insurance that are important for tradies, and the best way to get the right cover is to contact a broker who specialises in trades insurance.
We recommend using a specialist insurance firm that provides solutions for all tradesmen including electricians, carpenters, plumbers and more.
Tradesmen Insurance Companies
Most insurance companies in Australia will offer insurance for tradesmen. In many cases the policies are no different to the insurance policies offered to anyone else, but there are a small number of insurers who offer specially tailored packages for tradies.
Insurers who cover tradesmen include Allianz, QBE, Macquarie, Comminsure, MLC, Zurich, Vero, AMP and Asteron. This is just a small selection, and once you start researching you will find many more insurance companies offering insurance for tradesmen.
Tradesmen Insurance Brokers
Just like there are many insurance providers offering cover for tradies, there are also many insurance brokers who target tradesmen as their clients.
Whilst there are some insurance brokers who say they specialise in tradesmen but actually deal with everyone, there are some specialist brokers who genuinely deal exclusively with the trades.
When looking for a broker to handle your tradesman insurance, we strongly recommend using a broker who really does specialise in tradies, rather than one of the many who just say they specialise in tradesmen, while also claiming to specialise in doctors, lawyers and everyone else.
